THE SOLEMN OPENING OF EXHIBITION DEDICATED TO INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

 On March 7th, 2019, Ijevan Gallery hosted a solemn opening of works exhibition by YSUIB Faculty of Applied Art lecturers and students  dedicated to International Women’s Day.

According to the beautiful tradition formed at the Faculty, the spring and women’s holiday is announced with a grand opening of the exhibition,  as a tribute to our dear mothers, women, sisters and daughters.

The exhibition was attended by the representatives of Ijevan governing bodies, YSUIB Directorate, artists, lecturers, students, teachers, pupils, graduates, citizens.

The chief organizer of the exhibition, assistant professor of the Department of Painting, Design and Sculpture, member of RA Artists’ Union  Hamlet Asatryan, the head of the department of culture of Ijevan Municipality Lilit Ghalumyan, the culturologist Ani Kostandyan, Acting director of YSUIB  Artak Tsutsulyan, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts Alexan Margaryan made a welcoming speech warmly congrtulating all the women on the occasion of the spring holiday, wishing love, beauty and all the best.

Then Mr. Tsutsulyan handed certificates to the organizers and participants of the exhibition, and the exhibition dedicated to Women’s Day was announced open.

The exhibition includes 75 unique and exceptional works by 9 lecturers and 10 students of the Faculty of Applied Arts.

“This exhibition dedicated to Women’s Day,” Mr. Asatryan said in an interview,  is exceptional in its diversity, painting, sculpture, applied art, graphics, tapestry, ceramics, etc.”

The bright and gorgeous colors glittering in the gallery spread a fresh spring mood, with a breath of beauty and femininity.

The exhibition will last until March 20.
