In 2018, on September 19, the opening ceremony of the “Tradition” N2 Music School, community serving Non-Profit Organization (NPO) took place in Ijevan.
Establishment of another music center in the center of Tavush Region, in Ijevan, aims to contribute to the development of musical life in the region.
The restoration of “Tradition” music school was made possible due to the generous support of the “Vardanants Sisters” from Detroit, Michigan, USA , Zabel shelter and other Armenian philanthropists from Australia, Lebanon, Armenia.
Mayor of Ijevan V.Galumyan, Governor of Tavush Region V.Galumyan, Primate of Tavush Diocese Bagrat Galstanyan, Acting Director of YSU Ijevan Branch A. V. Cuculyan, guests from the Ministry of Culture, Director of the Cultural Education Foundation, directors of the Yerevan School of Art, Directors of Ijevan Schools and Kindergartens, the Head of the Education Department of Tavush Administrative Region, the Directors of Ijevan and Dilijan Music Schools and representatives of Eurasia International Partnership Foundation were invited to the opening
The opening of the music school was accompanied by a festive ceremony, organized by the opera singer Asatur Baljyan, honored artist Hasmik Harutyunyan, program coordinator Narine Aghasaryan, music school director Elmira Aghasaryan.
One of the supporters of the event was Ijevan branch of YSU, “Shoghakn” ensemble and Alexan Harutyunyan.
Susanne Shahnazaryan, Lilit Pharmazyan, Elina Khachatryan, Arina Paronyan and graduate Marietta Sargsyan, students of YSU IB of Faculty of English Language and Literature, performed translation work for foreign guests.
