SYUZANNA SHAHNAZARYAN: THE WINNER OF “THE BEST STUDENT OF YSU” ANNUAL CONTEST

On 17th of May, 2019, YSU hosted “the Best Student of YSU” annual contest dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of YSU Foundation and 25th Anniversary of Student Council, followed by a festive concert with participation of Sona Rubenyan and Garik Papoyan.

 Syuzanna Shahnazaryan, 4th- year student of English Language and Literature Department,Faculty of Humanities of YSU Ijevan Branch became the winner of “YSU Best Student -2019” contest.

The aim of the contest is to encourage progress of the students of bachelor and Master programs of YSU and to boost their scientific and public activity.

Students of all faculties and centers implementing Master programs of YSU who had been YSU(including Ijevan Branch) students for at least 4 terms, had high performance during the last two terms (coefficient 15 and above), as well as have the achievements described in “Best Student of YSU” regulations can participate in the contest.

 20 students of different faculties of YSU and Ijevan Branch have won the contest, for which they will receive nominal scholarships.

From YSU Ijevan Branch, Syuzanna Shahnazaryan, a 4th-year student of “English language and Literature” specialty, won the “Best YSU Student -2019” contest.

 Welcoming the participants,  YSU Rector particularly put forward:  “I am jealous of those students who will be the best student of YSU on its 100th anniversary.  I think they will remember it forever.  I want to congratulate and say that it is a great honor to be the best student of the university and at the same time a great responsibility because we, all universitarians, have this responsibility to keep the honor of our Mother University. “

 YSU Vice-rector on Students, Alumni and Public Affairs Ruben Markosyan, Director of YSU Student Affairs Center Vahagn Varagyan and YSU Student Council Chairman Davit Apoyan (see details here) expressed their heartfelt congratulations and handed prizes.
