Hasmik Khachaturyan, Rubik Martirosyan – Value orientation role of a person de­ve­lopment process. – The article analyses the formation of value orientations of an in­di­vidual and their importance on the process of development of a personality. Value orien­tation is the basis of each society. Value orientations represent the opinions and be­liefs people have about this or that value systems. They play an important role in the de­velopment of social behavior of an individual. The dual nature of values; both social and personal, is reflected in the article. The transitional period promoted the de­ve­lop­ment of social norms and behavior standards thus stimulating in making social research among youth and adults, in order to find out their value systems and make appropriate ana­lyses.
