For 9 consecutive years, on January 25, the Yerevan Russian Center for Science and Culture has been solemnly celebrating Student Day (“Tatyana's Day”) with the support of the Association of Students of Russian Universities in Armenia.

Within the framework of this event, the award ceremony for the winners in the already traditional “Best Student of the Year” nomination is held, during which students from Russian and Armenian universities who are progressive in their studies and active in public activities are awarded certificates and incentive gifts.

In response to the proposal of the Yerevan RRCSC to select the best student, the Ijevan branch of YSU nominated Mariam Darbinyan, a 4th-year student of the “Russian Language and Literature” educational program of the Faculty of Humanities, taking into account her high progress and public activity among students of this specialty.

In 2025, the title of best students was awarded to students from 17 higher educational institutions of the capital and regions, including YSU IB student Mariam Darbinyan.

The solemn ceremony of honoring and awarding the winner of “The Best Student of the Year” competition was held at Ijevan branch of YSU, which was a significant event for students and aimed at encouraging their achievements.

The event was held at a high level, attended by the Director of Ijevan branch of YSU M. Otaryan, Advisor to the Director A. Makaryan, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Humanities N. Grigoryan, Head of the Gyumri Russian House A. Beryanev, lecturers and students.

The Head of the Gyumri Russian House Anton Viktor Beryanev made a welcoming speech. He congratulated the winner, emphasized the students’ contribution to the development of intercultural dialogue and presented Mariam Darbinyan with a souvenir from the Russian House.

YSU IB Director M. Otaryan delivered a congratulatory speech, emphasizing the importance of such achievements of students in the development of the university. He noted that they not only contribute to the professional growth of the student in question, but also serve as an example for other students. The director presented Mariam with a certificate and wished her further success in her studies and scientific work.

M. Darbinyan was congratulated and encouraged by YSU IB Director’s Advisor Anushavan Makaryan, Lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages ​​Elena Shuvayeva, and Associate Professor of the same department Marat Zurabyan, emphasizing the importance of inspiring and supporting gifted students, wishing Mariam new achievements in her professional career.
