The department of Civil Defense was formed at Ijevan branch of YSU in 1997.
The main functions of the civil defense department of YSU IBare:
a) development of branch's CD plans,
b) development and implementation of measures corresponding to CD plans,
c) organization of training for staff and student organizations with the involvement of CD and RA MES specialists,
d) implementation of other functions defined by law.
The department, being the organizer of the civil defense work of the branch, carries out special activities in the field: organization of training, creation of formations, pointing out ways of acquiring CD property, presenting and solving issues of shelter and evacuation of staff and students, planning and implementation of training exercises, etc.
