On September 19, 2024 the international autumn school dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the founding of YSU Ijevan Branch was solemnly opened on the theme "Researching local heritage", which was organized within the framework of cooperation between the University of Salzburg (Austria), the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia and the Ijevan branch of YSU within the framework of “Interdisciplinary studies of Armenian cultural heritage" by the remote laboratory.

About 2 dozen students from the Faculty of Economics and Humanities of YSU IB and the University of Salzburg applied to participate in the International Autumn School.

The official opening was attended by Anushavan Makaryan, Acting Director of YSU IB, Director of the Christian Orient Research Institute of Salzburg University, Head of the Armenian Studies Department, Professor Yasmin Dum-Tragut, co-head of the "Interdisciplinary Studies of Armenian Cultural Heritage" remote laboratory of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia Haykuhi Muradyan, acting dean of the faculty of Economics  A. Margaryan, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Humanities N. Grigoryan, professors and students.

Opening speech was given by A. Makaryan, H. Muradyan and Y. Dum-Tragut, welcoming all those present, emphasizing the role and importance of holding the international autumn school, presenting the main goal and tasks, which are to familiarize the participants with some episodes of the history of Tavush, the activities of spiritual structures, the methodology of researching historical events through the study of archival documents, as well as organizing a walking tour carrying out field research works.

It was presented that the autumn school will consist of lectures and field research work. The lectures will be held at the university, and the fieldwork will be held at the famous monuments of Tavush. The activities of the autumn school will be coordinated by Professor Yasmin Dum-Tragut of the University of Salzburg and Haykuhi Muradyan, co-head of the remote laboratory "Interdisciplinary Studies of Armenian Cultural Heritage" of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.

Then, a meeting of the coordinators of the school's work and the students participating in the school was held in the YSU IB conference room, during which a number of organizational and substantive issues related to the coordination of the process were discussed.

The autumn school will last 5 days, and students will be awarded with certificates at the end.
