The aim and objectives of the program

The program aims to prepare specialists armed with interdisciplinary knowledge and skills in the field of philology, for work in various fields of science, education, as well as public life, who will be able to:

• To combine the knowledge of theoretical and applied linguistics and literary studies to carry out philological studies, teaching, editorial work.

• To apply the interdisciplinary knowledge in modern linguistic and literary researches while carrying out scientific analyses, editorial work, translation programs, pedagogical work.

• To organize and guide the analysis of literary works, editing of texts, translation, preparation for publication, teaching linguistic and literary subjects.

The objective of the program is to give an idea about the general trends in the development of the education sector, information technologies, and computer literacy.

Career opportunities for graduates

Graduates of the program can continue their studies at YSU, as well as at the master's program of various educational institutions. Graduates of the "Armenian Language and Literature" program can get a job:

• in scientific research institutions - philologist - junior researcher,

• in public schools as a methodist,

• in house-museums,

• editor, journalist, proofreader,

• head of the Armenian language and literary groups,

• librarian

• various educational and cultural institutions and other public and private institutions and enterprises.

The following auxiliary resources are used in the learning process: scientific discussions and debates, meetings with writers, cultural figures, library and electronic literature resources.
