- The grand opening of the exhibition of works by lecturers and students of the Faculty of Applied Arts of Ijevan branch of YSU was held
The ceremonial opening of the exhibition was attended by the directorate of the YSU IB, staff members and students, representatives of regional and city authorities, honored guests, artists, teachers, students and citizens.
Opening speech was delivered by YSU Ijevan branch director M. Otaryan, director's advisor A. Makaryan, head of culture department of Ijevan municipality L. Ghalumyan, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts V. Aghababyan, Acting Head of the Department of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture, Associate Professor H. Asatryan, warmly congratulating the women day and greatly emphasizing the role of such events not only in the university environment, but also in the Tavush region.
The exhibition includes more than 70 works of various genres (paintings, landscapes, graphics, batik, sculpture, tapestry graphic works, etc.).
"This exhibition dedicated to Women's Day has brought new colors to the city. The multi-genre works presented at the exhibition by experienced lecturers and students of the YSU Ijevan branch stand out with interesting technical solutions of color and volume. The works are mainly made according to the principles of decorative and classical art," - in his speech said Hamlet Asatryan, Acting Head of the Department of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture of the YSU IB, Associate Professor, and member of the Armenian National Art Union.
Visitors got aesthetic pleasure and great interest from the exhibited paintings and received answers to their questions about the paintings directly from the authors.
The exhibition of works by lecturers and students of the Faculty of Applied Arts of Ijevan branch of Yerevan State University will last for two weeks. Entry is free.
