On March 28, a board meeting was held under the chairmanship of M. M. Otaryan at Ijevan branch of YSU.

The session discussed the process of preparing for the 1st mid-terms and exams of the 2nd semester of the 2024-2025 academic year, the results of the periodic review of job descriptions for employees of various categories, the summary of the current examination period for the 1st semester of the 2024-25 academic year, issues related to the organization of elective courses, the mobility window, and internships.

Regarding the first question, it was noted that according to the schedule, the 1st mid-terms and exams of the 2nd semester of the 2024-25 academic year have been organized. They will be carried out in the period from April 1-5, 2025. The deans of the faculties have submitted to the Educational and Methodological Department the schedules for organizing mid-terms and exams, which were previously discussed in the Chairs. The schedules have been posted on the official website of YSU IB, lecturers and students have been informed about them. The faculties have been provided with copybooks for the exams. Other necessary work has been carried out, and the branch is ready for the implementation of the examination period.

Regarding the other issue, it was noted that due to the fact that structural changes have been made in the YSU IB, some departments have been merged, and new positions have been formed, it has become necessary to review the job descriptions of some categories and approve passports for new positions. The director instructed to complete the process of periodically reviewing job descriptions for employees of different categories and approving passports for new positions in a short time.

Regarding the issue of summing up the examination period for the 1st semester of the 2024-25 academic year, it was noted that 617 students participated in the examination period, 8 of whom were drafted into the Armenian Army, and 8 returned from deferment.

Based on the results of the examination period, we have 10 students repeating the course, 4 students with academic debts of up to 12 credits, and we have no students subject to expulsion.

Regarding the issues of organizing elective courses, it was noted that the heads of educational programs have presented the lists and brief contents of the subjects in the relevant courses, and their results have been submitted to the Educational and Methodological Department. The Director instructed the deans and the Educational and Methodological Department to clarify the groups of elective courses by April 1, 2019 and submit them for approval.

Regarding the issue of organizing the mobility window, it was specifically noted that, following YSU policy, the branch plans to introduce a 15-credit “Mobility Window” in the 7th semester (8th-9th in the case of off-site learning), which allows students to choose the composition of courses from both the courses of their university’s bachelor’s degree programs and the list of courses offered by other universities, with the consent of the head of the educational program. Through the “Mobility Window”, a step is being taken towards ensuring the flexibility of programs. In connection with this issue, the director instructed the Educational and Methodological Department to discuss it jointly with the heads of educational programs by April 1, 2025 and submit an appropriate proposal.

Regarding the issue of organizing internships, it was noted that in the 2nd semester of the 2024-2025 academic year, according to the bachelor's and master's working curricula, 35 internships were planned (22 in the on-site education system, 13 in distance learning), of which 6 were pedagogical, 22 were professional, and 7 were educational.

So far, 34 internships have been organized for both on-site and distance learning. 1 internship is in the preparatory stage: preparatory work is being carried out to organize the professional internship for the 4th year of the distance learning educational program "Finance (by field)".

The professional internships in the 4th years of the 12 existing educational programs have been completed, which were organized from February 10 to March 21. The work of registering students, preparing and providing notes, activating internship courses in the Moodle system, and conducting trainings among students and lecturers was completed on time.

At the same time, the supervisors of professional internships and students were included in the e-learning.ysu.am system. According to the requirements presented in the Moodle system, each student first filled in information about the institution where the internship was held, then posted a weekly report on the work done, at the end submitted an opinion-description and participated in a student survey about the internship. The submitted reports were checked and evaluated by the supervisors every week, monitored by the YSU IB Internship Organization and Cooperation with Stakeholders Department. The registered shortcomings were regularly discussed with the supervisors.

Professional internships in eight educational programs have been completed, and the results are reflected in the registrar system, and the tests for the 4th year students of the educational programs "Russian Language and Literature", "English Language and Literature", "Informatics and Applied Mathematics" and "Finance (by field)" were conducted on March 28. The other internships are in progress.

The Department of Organization of Internships and Cooperation with Stakeholders of YSU IB was instructed to be consistent in carrying out all processes of organizing and implementing internships within the established deadlines and properly.
