The Department of Educational Reforms and Teacher Training was formed in January 2020.
The purpose of the department's activity is to contribute to the creation of new high-quality educational programs in line with the current requirements of the labor market, structural and content transformations of existing educational programs in accordance with the national framework of qualifications, and the provision of educational programs with teaching staff with the necessary professional qualities through periodic evaluation and training.
The problems of the department are:
Support and oversee the implementation of best practice benchmarking policies and procedures for specialty educational programs.
Contribute to the implementation, implementation and evaluation of the research component in educational programs.
Develop a policy of requirements for the professional qualities of the teaching staff for the educational programs operating in YSU IM.
Develop procedures for selecting faculty with the necessary qualifications to implement educational programs.
Develop and implement a long-term program for the recruitment and improvement of teaching staff, improve the criteria and processes for deputizing professors.
Develop and implement a policy to ensure the professional advancement of faculty members.
Develop clear policies and procedures for periodic faculty evaluations.
Develop and regularly improve programs for the improvement of the qualifications of the teaching staff, organize the development of their potential.
Contribute to the improvement of teaching, learning and assessment processes.
To study the modern experience of integration (interconnection) of teaching, learning and research in order to apply it in undergraduate educational programs.
Train faculty to create and deliver electronic learning resources.
Develop policies and procedures for upgrading teaching materials and resources, monitor their implementation.
To develop mechanisms for encouraging and spreading advanced pedagogical experience, to promote the introduction of modern teaching methods and technologies.
Develop and implement training courses that develop pedagogical and psychological skills of young professors.
