The meeting of the Academic Council approved the schedule of the meetings of the YSU IB Academic Council for the 1st semester of the 2025-2026 academic year, the list of students receiving nominal scholarships for the 1st semester of the 2025-2026 academic year.
The list of bachelor's specialties and educational programs for admission to YSU IB in 2026 with on-site learning, the announcement of an intra-university competition for applications for research topics for the purpose of contractual (thematic) financing of research activities at YSU IB (for the 2025-2026 academic year), the activities of the YSU IB SSS for the 2024-2025 academic year, and issues related to extra-budgetary nominal scholarships were discussed.
When discussing the list of bachelor's specialties and educational programs for admission to the Faculty of Natural Sciences in 2026, the expediency of introducing a new educational program in 2027 was discussed, and accordingly, the responsible department was instructed to conduct an analysis with appropriate justifications regarding the proposed educational program.
Guided by subparagraph 20 of paragraph 23 of the Charter of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the YSU IB and subparagraph 20 of paragraph 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Academic Council of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the YSU IB, the Scientific Council decided to organize a competition for applications for scientific topics for the purpose of financing internal scientific grants and to approve the invitation package for the competition, in accordance with the appendix.
It was noted that applications will be accepted until October 31, 2025. The competition invitation package includes general provisions on the competition, requirements for participants, expected results, submission of the application, etc.
In connection with the issue of the activities of the YSU IB SSS in the 2024-2025 academic year, a number of educational and scientific events and initiatives implemented by the student organization during the reporting period were presented.
The report on the activities of the Student Scientific Society of the YSU Ijevan branch in the 2024-2025 academic year was taken into account, and the activities of the SSS were assessed as satisfactory.
The members of the Academic Council suggested that the SSS, based on its activity program, organize scientific events (series of reports, student scientific sessions, etc.) more often, actively involving students in them through its faculty representatives.
When discussing the issue of current extra-budgetary nominal scholarships, it was noted that within the framework of the "YSU Studio" program, the YSU will award scholarships to 20 students of the Faculty of Applied Arts of the YSU IB. Students participating in the program will be involved in workshops in the following main areas of decorative and applied arts (ceramics, miniature painting, glass painting, batik and fabric artistic design).
