INVITATION TO TAKE PART IN THE TRAININGS ON “GENERAL SKILLS OF SELF-DEVELOPMENT”

 person.-dev.Within the framework of the EU4Youth, Better skills for better future program,  jointly with “Save the Children International” Foundation in Armenia and  Oxygen Foundation carry out trainings entitled “General skills of Self-development”, all the people aged 16-30, in Armenia,  interested in the development of professional and personal skills can take part in the trainings.

The regional project, funded by the EU, will establish and/or support youth networks in the following three countries: Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine.

The program is implemented by Save the Children International in Armenia in collaboration with the Oxygen Foundation for Protection of Youth and Women Rights.

The program is aimed at developing the entrepreneurial potential and increase employability of disadvantaged youth in three Neighbourhood countries, ensure their increased access to education and training opportunities and advocate for development and implementation coherent and cross-sectorial youth policies at local and national levels.

The purpose of the trainings is to provide self-development and self-presentation opportunities to young people living in Armenia, to develop their skills in promoting their employment, provide new opportunities for cooperation and ensure their professional and personal progress.

The project will rely on three pillars: youth participation, special focus on the needs of disadvantaged young people and gender-sensitive approach.

The project topics include career development, teamwork, communication, organizational and related skills, creative thinking, initiative and other personal qualities needed to be competitive in the labor market.

The training course will consist of 2 stages, each with a 3-day duration, during March-June, 2019. The selected participants must take part in the two scheduled stages. The trainings will be conducted by skilled and experienced mentors. The working language of the trainings is Armenian.

One of the main directions of the project is inclusiveness, hence the participation of vulnerable groups, including people with disabilities, refugees, borderline residents, and unemployed young people, ethnic minorities, is encouraged to take part.

 In this respect, the organizational group is ready to provide appropriate and supportive assistance to young people who are motivated and meet the program criteria. The trainings are free of charge, the program will cover travel and other expenses.

*THE GENERAL SKILLS OF SELF-DEVELOPMENT are usually considered not only specific work, occupation, academic or scientific knowledge, but skills that can be widely used in different situations and working conditions (IBE 2013). These include organizational, communicative or digital skills, time management, creativity, initiative, teamwork, and other personal qualities. The demand for these skills gradually increases in order to adapt to changing circumstances and have meaningful and effective professional life.
