As in the previous years, at the beginning of this academic year, on September 26, 2024 at Ijevan branch of YSU, a meeting was held with Arevik Prazyan and Hasmik Hovhannisyan, career development coordinators of the "Teach for Armenia" educational foundation. The students of the "Elementary Pedagogy and Methodology", "Informatics and Applied Mathematics" educational programs participated in the meeting.
The representatives of the foundation talked about the "Teach for Armenia" Teacher Leadership Program, the available opportunities, the application procedure, the scholarship for students with a science and mathematics orientation.
It was emphasized that the participants of the "Teach for Armenia" program enjoy a number of privileges.
• financial support (in addition to the school salary) and scholarship,
• payment of tuition fees for obtaining a teaching certificate or master's degree in pedagogy,
• opportunities for professional and cultural development in partner organizations,
• development of leadership skills and ongoing support of the trainer.
The participants of the meeting got acquainted with the program implemented with IT organizations, "Tech4Armenia", which is a special cooperation for specialists already working in the field of programming.
The representatives of the foundation answered the students’ questions and invited them to participate in the student event of "Teach for Armenia", the Student Fest.
