The “Communication Concept and Action Plan for 2024-2026 within the framework of the Anti-Corruption Strategy of the Republic of Armenia for 2023-2026 and the Action Plan arising therefrom” approved by the order of December 28, 2023 the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia provides for ensuring public awareness of the state’s anti-corruption reforms, the activities of anti-corruption bodies, and the state’s policy in the fight against corruption.

In this context, the “Good Conduct of Armenia” program plans to hold a “Youth Against Corruption” marathon, including a march, a bicycle parade, a caricature exhibition, and flash mob events of traditional Armenian round dances. These marathon events kick off the Ministry of Justice’s one-month campaign dedicated to the publication of the notification system and the fight against corruption.

The "Armenian Lawyers Association" NGO, which won the competition announced within the framework of the "Good Conduct of Armenia" program, and with the participation of the Ministry of Justice, is implementing the "Azdararir, Armenia" program. The goal of the latter is to implement public awareness of the reporting system, measures aimed at changing the perceptions of different groups of society about the system, and increasing digital knowledge of using the unified reporting platform. On November 13, 2024, a public awareness training course was held at YSU IB within the framework of the program, in which E. Gharayan, a specialist of the YSU IB Professional Education and Quality Assurance Department, and about 30 students from different specialties of the university participated.

The training was conducted by the senior expert of the Armenian Lawyers Association, Syuzanna Soghomonyan, and the senior expert of digital law, Armen Parsadanyan.

First, the participants were welcomed by the Acting Director of the YSU IB, A. Makaryan, highlighting the importance of the program, touching upon the goal and objectives.

The senior expert of the Armenian Lawyers Association, S. Soghomonyan, introduced the participants to the notification system, the scope of crimes, as well as the means of protection.

The senior expert of digital law, A. Parsadanyan, presented the ways through which the person who notifies can feel safe and protected.

The message of the experts was as follows: “Notify: you can prevent corruption.”

The training was held with the active involvement of the participants, contributing to the increase in the awareness index of the notification system and the role of the notification system as a tool in the fight against corruption.
