- Training on Factors for Empowering Organizations
During the training, the interconnected concepts of individual-team-organization were introduced, it was explained what qualities an individual should have as a key player.
Reference was made to Daniel Goleman's book "Emotional Intelligence" and in particular, to the 5 components of emotional intelligence.
1. self-awareness (the ability to identify one's own feelings, one's own motivation when making decisions, to recognize one's own strengths and weaknesses, to set goals and vital values),
2. self-regulation (the ability to control one's own feelings, to restrain impulses),
3. social skills (the ability to establish relationships with people, to motivate in one's desired direction),
4. empathy (the ability to take into account other people's feelings when making decisions, as well as the ability to empathize with other people),
5. motivation (the ability to want to achieve a goal for the sake of achieving it).
The importance of emotional intelligence in an organization was explained. It was emphasized that it significantly improves people's ability to make the right decisions, establish and maintain cooperative relationships, effectively combat stress, and cope with constant change. It was noted that organizational structure is very important, because by defining roles and responsibilities, it prevents work interference and facilitates effective communication. Organizational structure is influenced by goals, strategy, organizational environment, technology, and the size of the organization.
At the end of the training course, a question-and-answer discussion took place.
