Within the framework of the Erasmus+ international credit exchange program, Anush Ghaltakhchyan, a student of the "French Language and Literature" educational program of Ijevan branch of Yerevan State University, studied at the Paul Valéry Montpellier 3 University in France during the 2nd semester of 2024-2025 academic year.

In a conversation with us A. Ghaltakhchyan mentioned, "The experience of studying in France has contributed not only to my professional progress, but also to the development of personal and social skills. This process of self-discovery, strengthening self-confidence, and broadening my worldview in a new environment has formed a versatile and flexible mindset, which is an important prerequisite for effective activity in the modern scientific and educational field."

During the teaching process, special attention was paid to listening exercises, contributing to the development of verbal skills. Various listening exercises were carried out, with thematic analyses and discussions. This method not only developed listening skills, but also promoted the skills of speech - the correct expression of thoughts. In addition, during the lessons, exercises with game elements and team work were carried out, which contributed to increasing the motivation of students and their active participation in the learning process.

Along with the educational process, there were many new acquaintances with young people of other nationalities, which contributed to the discovery of different cultures and the creation of new connections. These interactions made Anush Ghaltakhchyan's learning experience richer and more multifaceted, creating a unique platform for intercultural dialogue and solidarity.

These new connections were not only limited to foreign acquaintances, but also to maintaining ties with the local Armenian community. Anush was also able to meet members of the Armenian community by participating in local events. This gave the student the opportunity to meet the famous Armenian philologist and historian Gerard Teteyan.

While studying in France, Anush Ghaltakhchyan also participated in a conference organized by the “AgurArménie” association, which was held under the chairmanship of the director of the famous “Le Figaro” magazine. As part of the event, the student gave a speech, reflecting on the centuries-old history of the Armenian people, the difficult path they have taken, and their rich cultural heritage. Anush’s impressive speech in front of an international audience attracted the attention of the event participants, arousing their interest in Armenian history.

This exceptional educational experience has given the student the opportunity not only to enrich her professional (theoretical and practical) knowledge, but also to form a sustainable, in-depth approach to professional development.
