The discussion was attended by members of the teaching staff of YSU Ijevan branch.

During the lecture-discussion, the largest scientometric platform “Scopus”, which provides access to and recognition of scientific materials and publications, the procedure and conditions for publishing articles there, the stages of publication, and the forms of registration on modern scientometric platforms were presented. 

The speaker emphasized the importance of publishing in journals, books, and conference proceedings of the “Scopus” scientometric database for modern scientists, universities, research institutes, and even countries, since publishing in indexed scientific journals provides scientometric ranking. On the basis of the latter, the international ranking of universities, the distribution of grants, the selection of lecturers, etc. are carried out.
