On November 6, 2025 a board meeting was held under the chairmanship of M. M. Otaryan at Ijevan branch of YSU.

The meeting discussed 6 agenda and other current issues.

The Head of the Educational and Methodological Department A. Davtyan and the deans of the faculties made a report on the 1st mid-term exams of the 1st semester of the 2025-2026 academic year. In particular, it was noted that from October 28 to November 1, 223 mid-term exams were held in the branch. A. Davtyan added that no violations of the approved schedule were recorded. On November 8, after the registrations in the “Registrar” system are completed, a summary of the 1st mid-term exams will also be presented.

Legal advisor G. Bablumyan reported on the issue of periodic revision of job descriptions for employees of various categories. He noted that draft passports for 10 positions have been prepared, which were mainly related to the structural changes in the branch. The draft position passports have been sent in advance to the members of the board of directors and heads of departments for review and comments.

After the department heads have made their comments and suggestions within 1 week, they will be submitted for approval.

L. Beginyan made a report on the process of organizing internships in the branch in the 1st semester of the 2025-2026 academic year. It was noted that the working curricula of on-site and off-site bachelor's and master's programs provide for 10 internships this semester (5 in the on-site education system, 5 in off-site). Out of 5 internships in the on-site education system, 3 are pedagogical, 1 is professional, and 1 is educational. Out of 5 internships in the off-site education system, 3 are pedagogical, 3 are professional (1 is bachelor's, 2 are master's).

The deans of the faculties reported on the process of approving the topics of the final theses of the on-site education system. In particular, it was noted that for the 2025-26 academic year, in accordance with the procedure for the preparation and assessment of bachelor's thesis in the Ijevan branch of the "Yerevan State University" foundation, the topics of the thesis were approved by the sessions of the scientific councils of the faculties and submitted to the Educational and Methodological Department. Before approval, they were discussed in the professional chairs, necessary corrections were made, and the compliance of the topics with the final results of the educational programs was checked. In this regard, Director M. Otaryan emphasized the importance of proper filling in of the journals available in the chairs by the supervisors and students. It was decided to instruct the deans of the faculties and heads of chairs to be consistent in the process of completing the thesis and to maintain the procedure for the preparation and assessment of bachelor's thesis at Ijevan branch of the "Yerevan State University" foundation.

A. Davtyan and the deans reported on the 1st semester of the off-site  learning bachelor's and master's courses of the 2025-2026 academic year. In particular, it was noted that since November 4, bachelor's and master's courses have been held according to the approved schedule, and from November 11, 1st year bachelor's courses will begin.

A. Makaryan presented a report on the results of the student satisfaction survey with the implementation and evaluation of research work in the 1st and 2nd semesters of the 2024-25 academic year. A. Makaryan noted that based on the strategic goals of the branch, the Department of Educational Reforms and Quality Assurance conducted an analysis of the organization of research work of 3rd-year students (1st and 2nd semesters) within the framework of 124 professional courses of 4 faculties of the branch in the 2024-2025 academic year. Out of 163 students, 122 (75%) participated in the survey. Summing up the analysis of the survey results, relative progress was recorded in terms of the indicators of acquiring new knowledge and practical skills and working independently. Comparing the results of the current and previous academic years, it can be stated that positive progress was observed in all main components of self-assessment of research work by students.

Regarding current issues, the Head of the Department of Organization and control of the educational process N. Arushanyan noted that 14 off-site learning students have applied to the YSU IB for resuming in the off-site learning system for the first semester of the 2025-26 academic year. The Educational and Methodological Department checked the compliance of the documents submitted by the students with the “Procedure for the Expulsion (Release) and Reinstatement of Students of Higher Educational Institutions of the Republic of Armenia” (17.12.2018, N 1676 -N), and they meet the points of Part III of the above-mentioned procedure. It was decided to allow 14 students to be reinstated in the corresponding semesters of the corresponding courses.
