The meeting of the Academic Council discussed the results of YSU Ijevan branch admission in 2025 (on-site and off-site learning), the 2026 income and expenditure estimate (budget), the study of the opinions of external stakeholders about the branch's graduates in 2024-2025, and the recommendation and mediation of Artur Muradyan, Assistant Professor of the Department of General Economics of YSU IB, Candidate of Economics, to the YSU Academic Council for the academic title of Associate Professor.
The regulations of the faculties of Ijevan branch of YSU (Humanities, Economics, Natural Sciences and Applied Arts), the charter of the YSU IB Library and the rules for using the library were approved.
According to educational programs, the branch's 2025 admission results (on-site and off-site learning) and a comparative analysis of the results of the previous four academic years (2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25) were presented in detail.
According to the results, in the 2025-26 academic year, compared to the previous one, we have an increase in the total number of applicants. This academic year, 260 applicants were admitted (instead of 231 in the previous academic year), of which 193 were admitted to the on-site bachelor's degree (instead of 182 in the previous academic year), 29 to the off-site learning bachelor's degree (instead of 23), 38 to the off-site learning master's degree (instead of 26).
In connection with this issue, YSU Vice-Rector for Development and Innovation M. Hovhannisyan proposed that, based on the results of the labor market study of Tavush region conducted by the branch, the issue of the possibility of introducing new educational programs at YSU IB be discussed in the near future.
YSU Ijevan branch, in 2026 regarding the budget of income and expenses (budget), it was particularly noted that the indicators of the latter articles were compiled on the basis of the performance indicators of the 2025 budget, as well as forecasts and planning. In 2026, income and expenses are balanced (they both amount to 654,900.0 million AMD). 48% of income is made up of funds generated from paid educational services. 64% of expenses are “Funds allocated to remuneration and payments equivalent to it”. According to the new budget, the priorities are the expenses for the renovation of the building of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of YSU IB and the creation of a new gym.
The draft annual budget of income and expenses of the YSU Ijevan branch for 2026 was approved by the members of the Academic Council, and it was decided to submit it to Yerevan State University for approval.
Regarding the graduates of YSU IB, external stakeholders for 2024-2025 When presenting the opinion survey, it was noted that the study is being conducted by the Internship Organization and Stakeholder Engagement Department through an online survey.
The 2025 survey sample included the heads of 130 employer organizations in the region, including banks, schools, hotels, public organizations and local government bodies, of which 68 (52.30% of the total sample) participated in the survey.
Employers assessed the work results of 258 employees hired over the past five years and who are graduates of YSU IB, of whom 201 (77.90%) are working in their specialty. These data indicate that the professional orientation and preparation of graduates largely correspond to the requirements of the labor market.
According to the survey results, 61 out of 68 employers (89.70%) rated the professional preparation of YSU IB graduates as high (4 and 5), practical skills - 59 (86.76%), and professional speech - 58 (85.29%).
The self-expression abilities of YSU IB graduates, in particular, communication skills, were rated high (4 and 5) by 66 out of 68 employers (97.05%), etc.
The reputation of the branch in the organization and in the locality was also studied during the survey. 66 out of 68 participating employers (97.05%) rated the reputation of the branch high (4 and 5) in their organization, and 67 (98.52%) in their locality.
When asked whether our stakeholders would recommend their relatives and friends to apply to YSU IB, 67 (98.52%) of the survey participants answered positively. This indicator is quite high and indicates that the opinion about the educational activities of the branch in the region is high.
Summing up the results of the study, the Department of Organization of Internship and Cooperation with Stakeholders presented recommendations on improving the training of graduates and added that the department will provide the survey results to professional departments and students (SSS and Student Council) for their study and consideration in the processes aimed at improving educational programs.
According to the results of a closed, secret vote held at the meeting of the Academic Council, it was decided to recommend Artur Muradyan, Assistant Professor of the Department of General Economics of the Yerevan State University, Candidate of Economics, for the academic title of Associate Professor, to mediate with the Academic Council of the Yerevan State University to award him the academic title of Associate Professor and to apply to the RA Academic Council with a corresponding proposal.
