In the 2nd semester of the 2025-2026 academic year, according to the working curricula, the educational internships of the 2nd year students of the "Tourism" and "History" educational programs are underway.

  During the educational internships, overview lectures and visits lasting up to one day were held in the form of routes. Before implementing this route, the students were assigned to collect information about the objects included in the route, classify them, compare them, evaluate their inclusion in tourist packages and present them.

Within the framework of the educational internship provided for in the 2nd year of the on-site and off-site learning of the "Tourism" educational program, visits were made to various tourist destinations in the Tavush region of the RA and Armenia (regional and capital historical and cultural objects: churches, monasteries, museums, natural monuments, organizations serving the tourism industry, spatial objects).

In order to study the tourism resources and infrastructure of the Ijevan region, the following route was implemented: Aknaghbyur (Vardan Mamikonyan's tree-natural monument) - Star Hill - Lastiver Resort - Green House - Future Tour - Getahovit Resort. The study of the tourism potential of the city of Ijevan was carried out through a city tour, which included the Ijevan Geological and Wine Factory Museums, the Dendropark, the Sculpture Garden and the city's tourism infrastructure.

A trip was made to Kotayk region and Yerevan to study the important tourist centers of the republic. The route included the Church of St. John the Baptist in Abovyan, the Garni Temple, the “Symphony of Stones” natural monument of the Azat River Gorge, the National Gallery of Armenia, the Yervand Kochar House-Museum, and the halls of the Cascade complex.

Within the framework of the educational practice planned for the 2nd year of the on-site “History” educational program, a visit was made to the St. Arakelots monastery complex in the village of Acharkut, Tavush region of the Republic of Armenia.

The expedition team of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the RA NAS, in cooperation with the Center for Christian Oriental Studies of the University of Salzburg and the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the RA NAS, in particular, on the initiative of the author and initiator of the “Arakelots Monastery and Settlement” project, J. Dum-Tragut, is conducting excavations in the territory of the complex. The students' visit to the Arakelots church complex coincided with the period of excavations. During the visit, the students got acquainted with the territory of the complex, the history of the church, and the architectural features. It was emphasized that during the excavations it became clear that there was a settlement in the territory of the complex. The students asked the group members questions of interest, took a tour of the complex, and on the way back they also visited the inn located in the area.

The visits carried out within the framework of educational internship gave the students the opportunity to expand and strengthen their theoretical knowledge about the historical and cultural sites of the Republic of Armenia, important tourist centers, and contributed to the development of their practical skills.
