On September 8, 2026, within the framework of the Erasmus+ DIGITECH project, pilot courses were held at Yerevan State University, involving representatives and participants from the partner universities of the project.

The opening speech was delivered by YSU Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Development Mikael Hovhannisyan. The academic program of the day included two professional courses.

The pilot course on the topic of “Databases” was conducted by Dr. Boštjan Brumen from the University of Maribor, and the course on the topic of “Approaches to AI Regulation” was conducted by Dr. Michael Gille from the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. Yerevan State University and the works and initiatives implemented by YSU within the framework of the DIGITECH project were also presented.

The pilot courses are aimed at the exchange of academic and professional experience between partner universities, the development of knowledge and skills in modern digital technologies, as well as the testing and further improvement of educational components developed and modernized within the framework of the program.

The DIGITECH program meetings held in Armenia will continue until September 11 at Yerevan State University and the Ijevan branch of YSU.

The DIGITECH “Introduction of Innovative Technologies in Digitalization of Technological Processes and Production” program is implemented with the financial support of the European Union within the framework of the Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) strand of the Erasmus+ program.
