On May 2, 2019, YSU Ijevan Branch hosted a Student Council Presidential election.
Prior to the election, Acting Director of YSUIB A. V. Tsutsulyan welcomed all the participants wishing.
17 members of the Student Council took a part in the voting.
The electoral commission consisted of 11 members: Scientific Secretary M. Atoyan, Assistant to the Director A. Yeganyan, the Chairman of the Trade Union of YSUIB A. Margaryan, 6 members of the Student Council (both Full-time and Part-time training systems) and 2 representatives of the Student Scientific Society.
The head of the commission was M. Atoyan, the secretary was L. Nersisyan.
Two candidates were nominated: Nina Harutyunyan, a third-year student of the Armenian Language and Literature specialty, and Aren Avetisyan, third- year student of “Economics” specialty.
At the session of Student Council Presidium, with a majority of votes, Arev Avetisyan was elected chairman of YSU Ijevan Branch Student Council.
