On September 25, 2024 a meeting was held at the Ijevan branch of YSU with Dominique Weiss, the associate in charge of educational and cultural cooperation of the French Embassy in Armenia, Lori Hovsepyan, the French language coordinator of the embassy, and Celeste Aghselu, a French volunteer, in the meeting YSU IB Director A.Makaryan, deputy director M. Otaryan, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Humanities N. Grigoryan, head of the educational program "French language and literature" R. Mirzoyan and lecturer of the Chair of Foreign Languages A. Hovhannisyan were also present.
The purpose of the meeting was to introduce the French volunteer Celeste Agselu to the directorate of YSU IB, who, being a cinematography student at the Lumiere-Lyon 2 University in France, expressed his desire to work as a linguist on a volunteer basis with the students of the "Foreign Language and Literature" specialty of YSU IB until the end of this academic year. :
They talked about the thematic directions of the French volunteer's activity, which will cover the fields of cinematography, culture, civilization with their branches.
During the meeting, problems and possibilities of acquiring linguistic and literary, as well as French and Francophone modern literature were also discussed with Mrs. Dominique Weiss, with the aim of replenishing the YSU IB library and providing students with professional modern literature.
