The plans of YSU Ijevan branch in 2025 were discussed, agenda and current issues about the list of bachelor's specialties and educational programs for admission of on-site studies, announcing an intra-university competition for applications for research topics for the purpose of contractual (thematic) funding of research activities at YSU IB (2024-2025 year).
While discussing the list of YSU IB 2025 bachelor's specialties and educational programs for admission of on-site education, the members of the Academic Council proposed to include the "Actuarial and Financial Mathematics" educational program in the Faculty of Natural Sciences. It was noted that an appropriate analysis is being carried out on that educational program and a licensing package is being prepared.
In the context of this agenda, Mr. Makaryan also spoke about the advisability of introducing additional educational programs in the branch and instructed the department heads to prepare proposals in that direction.
Guided by clause 23, sub-clause 20 of the YSU IB Charter and clause 4, sub-clause 20 of the working regulations of the YSU IM Academic Council, the Academic Council decided to organize a competition for applications for scientific topics in order to finance internal scientific grants of the YSU IB 2024-2025 year and to approve the invitation package for the competition according to the application. The tender invitation package includes general provisions on the tender, requirements for the participants, expected results, submission of the bid and other provisions, including the maximum volumes of 12-month financing of the topics to be implemented in the direction of the development of Tavush region. Applications will be accepted until October 31 inclusive.
The current questions were about guaranteeing participation of two students of YSU IB in the "Best Student" 2024 national competition.
The Academic Council of the branch decided to guarantee Nazeli Yesayan, a 4th-year student of the "Russian Language and Literature" educational program of the Faculty of Humanities of YSU IB, and Sahak Gulakyan, a 4th year student of the "Informatics and Applied Mathematics" program of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of YSU IB, to participate in the 2024 "Best Student" national competition.
