The session discussed the results of the rotation of tuition fee compensation, the problems that arose in the "e-learning" and "Registrar" systems, the preparation of current inspections and exams in the 1st semester, the organization of internships, the process of approving the topics of graduation papers, distance learning bachelor's and master's programs issues related to the preparatory work for this semester, the results of fee discounts for students studying in the paid system were summarized.
Deputy director M. Otaryan reported on the results of the tuition reimbursement rotation. In particular, it was mentioned that the mandate committees of YSU IB faculties presented the protocols on the full reimbursement of tuition fees in the form of student benefits in the 2024-25 academic year and the lists of students who passed the competition for the consideration and approval of the mandate committee of the branch. Mandate commissions compiled the lists of students who are candidates for full compensation of tuition fees in the form of student allowances based on the average indicators of the grades of the exams passed during the examination periods of the two semesters of the previous academic year. According to the results of the transfer, 133 students are entitled to full tuition reimbursement in the 2024-2025 academic year, 87 of them with excellent progress (4 students with 20.00 score). 25 students switched from free to paid education system, 3 of them were submitted for 100% tuition reimbursement, 1 student went to compulsory military service, 1 student was released from the university according to his application.
Head of Educational Methodology Department A. Davtyan and Head of Information Systems Service and Development Department T. Khachatryan presented on the problems that arose in "e-learning" and "Registrar" systems , the technical and software problems that have arisen in those systems from the beginning of 2024-2025, their already given or planned solutions. A special reference was made to the circulars sent by the Rector of YSU, the Educational Methodological Department of YSU and the Deputy Director to the relevant departments, which were related to the placement of the schedules, questionnaires and basic educational materials of the courses taught in the 1st semester of the on-site bachelor's education by the professors in the "e-learning" system. The Director instructed the Methodical Department to be consistent, so that the deviations and deficiencies from the sample plan recorded in the case of some courses are immediately corrected.
The deans of the faculties and the head of the Educational Methodology Department reported on the preparation process for the current inspections and exams in the 1st semester of the 2024-2025 academic year, specifically noting that the necessary preparations have been carried out.
In the 1st semester of the 2024-2025 academic year, the current inspections and exams will be carried out according to the schedule, from October 29 to November 2. The deans of the faculties, after discussing with the professors of the departments, presented the schedules of the organization of current mid-terms and examinations to the Educational Methodology Department, they were posted on the official website, and the professors and students were informed about them. The educational department provided the copybooks for the exams to the faculties. After the mentioned and other preparatory works, the branch is ready for the implementation of the 1st current mid-terms and examinations of this semester.
The head of the Department of Internship Organization and Cooperation with Stakeholders L. Beginyan reported on the process of organizing internships in the 1st semester of the 2024-25 academic year. It was presented that in this semester, according to the bachelor's and master's academic plans, 14 internships are planned (9 in on-site training system, 5 in off-site). Out of the 9 internships of the on-site education system, 4 are pedagogical, 3 are professional, and 2 are educational. 2 out of 5 off-site learning system practices are pedagogical, 3 are professional. The on-site teaching internships have been organized so far.
The deans of the faculties reported on the process of approval of the topics of final works. They mentioned that the topics of the current teaching final works of the 2024-25 academic year have already been approved by the scientific councils of the faculties, in the sessions held in October, and will be confirmed for off-site in the sessions held in November. Before being approved, they were discussed in the professional chairs, necessary corrections were made, the compliance of the topics with the final results of the educational programs was checked, and their repetitions were excluded for several years. In connection with this issue, the director emphasized the importance of preparing the initial annotations, as well as the proper completion of the logs in the chairs by the supervisors and students.
The deans and the Head of Educational Methodology Department reported on the preparations for distance learning bachelor's and master's courses in the 1st semester of the 2024-25 academic year. The speakers mentioned that the distance learning bachelor's training sessions of this semester will start in November 5, and the master's degree from November 12. Necessary preparatory work has been done, in particular, timetables for II-V years have been drawn up (since the entrance exams are in progress, first years have not yet been formed), they have already been posted or sent to be posted on the official website, classroom fund distribution has been carried out, etc.
Deputy Director M. Otaryan summarized the results of tuition discounts for students studying in the paid education system (on the basis of the applications submitted to the mandate commission of YSU IB). In particular, it was noted that 17 students of the on-site education system received partial tuition compensation in the form of student benefits in the 1st semester of the 2024-25 academic year. 6 of them have a child under 1 year old (50% discount), 4 are single-parent orphans (50% discount), 3 are children-students of combatants (20%), 2 are combatants ( 30%), 1 student is a YSU IB employee’s child (80%), 1 student has a parent with a first or second degree disability (30%).
In addition to the applications submitted to the YSU IB Mandate Committee, students' rents are discounted based on the applications addressed directly to the director, the results of which will be summarized in the upcoming meeting of the directorate.
