On April 26, 2025, a meeting was held at the Ijevan branch of YSU with representatives of the "Armenian-French Friendship and Exchange" Union Joss Millinery, Philip Dromze and Laurence Dromze, which was attended by the Director's Advisor A. Makaryan, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Humanities N. Grigoryan, lecturers of the Department of Foreign Languages A. Hovhannisyan, Zh. Ghaltakhchyan and students.
The purpose of the meeting was to award scholarships to students of the YSU IB "French Language and Literature" educational program.
Joss Milliner, representative of the “Armenian-French Friendship and Exchange” Union, presented the students’ work to the participants of the meeting, considering it welcome and worthy of encouragement.
Mrs. L. Dromze also thanked the students, expressing her wish that the students continue to work with the same enthusiasm, contributing to the spread of French in the Tavush region.
During the meeting, A. Makaryan, Advisor to the Director of the YSU IB, made a speech, expressing gratitude to the “Armenian-French Friendship and Exchange” Union, represented by its President Paulette Coutan, for close cooperation with the branch, encouragement and support of the students.
Then J. Milliner awarded scholarships to 13 female students studying in the paid education system of the “French Language and Literature” educational program: A. Shahnazaryan, H. Janinyan, D. Melikyan, M. Khachinyan, S. Gasparyan, A. Aghinyan, M. Kartashyan, G. Yeganyan, H. Davtyan, L. Vardanyan, T. Ellaryan, A. Blbulyan, L. Sargsyan, and 5 female students studying in the free education system: V. Mkrtchyan, A. Miskaryan, A. Santrosyan, L. Madatyan, E. Mkrtumyan, who have actively contributed to the development and dissemination of French in the schools of Tavush region. The students who received the scholarships also expressed their gratitude and promised that they would continue to work with dedication.
