- Our students presented reports at the international conference
The conference, entitled “Teaching and Studying Russian as a Second and Heritage Language in a Diverse and Changing World,” brought together leading researchers, teachers, and experts in the field of Russian as a Foreign Language from different countries of the world.
For young researchers of the Ijevan branch of YSU, graduating students of the “Russian Language and Literature” educational program, Nazeli Yesayan and Mariam Darbinyan, participation in the conference became a very important event, as they had the opportunity to make reports together with famous scientists from the world's largest universities.
Nazeli Yesayan presented a report on “Speech Ethics in the Virtual Space: Effective Teaching of Russian as a Foreign Language”, touching upon the issues of developing speech culture among Russian learners in an online environment. Mariam Darbinyan delivered a report on “Modern Technologies in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language at the University Level”, presenting a study on modern perspectives on teaching Russian. The presented reports were received with great interest.
The conference was honored with a speech by the scientific supervisor of the students, Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages of YSU IB Svetlana Minasyan, presenting a report on the topic “Intensive Methods of Work in University Educational Platforms”. The organizers of the international anniversary conference highly appreciated the presented reports, emphasizing the relevance and confident presentation of their topics. For students, participation in such a significant international scientific event was a real breakthrough, evidence of the high level of education at YSU IB. It should be noted that in addition to the students of YSU IB, no other students participated in the international conference, since only they passed the competition stage.
In a conversation with us, Nazeli Yesayan and Mariam Darbinyan expressed their deep gratitude to their scientific supervisor, Professor Svetlana Minasyan, for her invaluable support, and to the organizers of the conference for the opportunity to be part of such a large-scale scientific dialogue.
On behalf of the YSU IB directorate and the entire staff, we warmly congratulate our students and their scientific supervisor S. Minasyan for their worthy participation in the international conference and wish them new scientific achievements, inspiration, and international recognition.
