On May 17, 2025 an open lesson on the topic "The Role of a Practical Psychologist in the Modern World" was held at the Faculty of Humanities of YSU IB, headed by the supervisor of the "Psychology" educational program, PhD, Associate Professor Sona Poghosyan, during which 3rd -year students of the "Psychology" specialty made reports.
Members of the teaching staff of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, PhD, Professor R. Aghuzumtsyan, PhD, Associate Professor A. Avagyan, Lecturer V. Meliksetyan, Psychologist of the "SOS-Children's Villages" Anna Hovakimyan, 2nd and 4th year students of the on-site learning system of the "Psychology" specialty were present.
The goal of the open lesson was to present the role and significance of a practical psychologist, to provide students with the opportunity to get acquainted with the modern directions of psychological service and possible challenges in the labor market.
The lesson was summed up by the choice of areas of psychological service by those present, and again the areas of activity of a practical psychologist were outlined.
