On May 20, 2025, the educational internship of the 2nd year of "Tourism" educational program on-site study of YSU IB, planned for the 2nd semester of the 2024-2025 academic year, completed.

It gave students the opportunity to collect, classify, analyze, compare and evaluate professional information related to the objects of practice, perform group, individual, organizational work, expand and develop their professional worldview, skills and abilities, study and get to know the tourism resources, culture, history, geography of the Republic of Armenia in more depth. During the practice, overview lectures were held in the classroom and one-day visits were held along the designated routes.

In particular, visits were made to various tourist facilities (churches, monasteries, museums, natural monuments, organizations serving the tourism sector, spatial facilities) of the RA Tavush, Shirak, Aragatsotn regions, and Gyumri. In order to study and evaluate the tourism resources and infrastructure of several RA regions and the second most important tourist destination of the republic, the students, led by the internship head A. Ulikhanyan, left for the internship along the following route: Ijevan-Gyumri-Jrapi Ijevanatun-Yereruyki Temple (Shirak region)-Dashtadem Fortress (Aragatsotn region)-Mughni St. Gevorg Church (Kotayk Region)-Ijevan.

They visited the churches of Vardanants Square, the Grand Hotel chain hotel, the Black Fortress, the medieval inn of Jrap, which was located on the Silk Road. The visit to one of the gems of medieval architecture, the Yereruyk Temple (6th century), was very impressive.
The students prepared materials in advance about the objects to be visited, and during the visit they professionally studied, presented and evaluated these objects from the point of view of their inclusion in tourist packages. In order to study the tourist resources and infrastructures of the Ijevan region and get acquainted with the services provided by them, visits were made to various tourist objects of Ijevan, the "Vardan Mamikonian Oak" natural monument in Aknaghbyur, "Getahovit Resort", the "Astghi Blur" archaeological site in Yenokavan, "Lastiver Resort", "Green House", "Apaga Tour", where they also used the zipline service of "Yell Extreme Park".
