On September 19, a joint conference of the staff of the Governor of the Republic of Armenia Tavush and the delegation of the Krasnoyarsk Territory of the Russian Federation was held in Dilijan, to which businessmen and heads of organizations operating in the region were invited, including the director of the YSU IB Mher Otaryan.

During the conference, the development opportunities of the regions, the implemented programs and the prospects for cooperation were presented. A number of initiatives aimed at strengthening economic, educational and cultural ties were discussed, and at the end, memorandums of cooperation were signed in the fields of education, tourism and business. A memorandum of cooperation was also signed between the YSU IB and the Siberian Federal University of the Russian Federation.

The Ijevan branch of the Yerevan State University Foundation, represented by Director Mher Meruzhan Otaryan, and the Siberian Federal University, represented by Vice-Rector for Advanced Projects Sergey Vladimirovich Verkhovets, signed a memorandum of cooperation, taking into account the mission of the two universities, considering the need for cooperation in the field of developing cultural (sports), educational ties.

In the signed memorandum, the parties affirmed their willingness to encourage and develop cooperation in areas conducive to mutual development, as well as to exchange information, materials or ideas for the purpose of mutually beneficial dialogue.

The signed memorandum will enable the parties to implement new projects and programs of cooperation in the fields of education and science.
