On September 25, 2025, a meeting with Director M. Otaryan was held at Ijevan branch of YSU, which was attended by Dominique Weiss, Attaché for Educational and Cultural Cooperation of the Embassy of France in Armenia, Suzanne Torosyan, Coordinator of the “Promotion of the French Language in Armenia: Modernization and Promotion” program, French volunteer Cordelia Dex, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Humanities N. Grigoryan, and Lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages A. Hovhannisyan.
The purpose of the meeting was to introduce French volunteer Cordelia Dex to YSU IB Directorate. She expressed her desire to work as a language assistant with the students of the “Foreign Language and Literature” specialty of the YSU Ijevan branch on a voluntary basis until the end of the 2025-2026 academic year.
During the meeting, the French volunteer spoke about her professional orientation and her great willingness to engage in volunteer activities at Ijevan branch of YSU.
Issues related to the strengthening of the French language at university and in Tavush region in general, the development of Francophonie, and the prospects for bilateral cooperation were discussed.
