On September 30, 2025, within the framework of a working visit to Tavush region, a delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France in the Republic of Armenia Olivier Decottignies visited Ijevan branch of YSU.

First, the Director of the YSU IB M. Otaryan welcomed and thanked Mr. Decottignies and the members of the delegation for their regular visit to Ijevan branch of YSU.

Then, a meeting of the delegation with the students of the "Foreign Language and Literature" specialty took place in the Aida Mardanyan auditorium, which was attended by the Director of the YSU IB M. Otaryan, the Head of the Educational and Methodological Department A. Davtyan, the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Humanities N. Grigoryan, and lecturers of the Chair of Foreign Languages.

The students, welcoming the honored guests, presented them the history, structure, and activities of the branch, touched upon the specialties implemented and especially the "French Language and Literature" educational program.

During the meeting, the Armenian-French friendship and the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the educational and scientific sphere (exchange programs, mutual visits, etc.) were discussed. A discussion was held, during which the students received answers to their questions from the Ambassador.

Olivier Decottignies, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France in the Republic of Armenia, thanked the directorate and staff of YSU IB for the warm welcome, and expressed his satisfaction with the excellent knowledge of French and the ability to communicate freely and easily among the students of the branch.
