On March 16-21, 2026, a meeting of project partners and a series of best practice exchange events were held in Maribor, Slovenia, within the framework of the DIGITECH program funded by the European Union.

The event was attended by the delegation of the YSU Ijevan branch; Director M. Otaryan, Advisor to the Director A. Makaryan, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences R. Yolchyan, Specialist of the Educational Reforms and Quality Assurance Department M. Chagharyan, Employee of the Department of Organization of Internship and Cooperation with Stakeholders of the Educational and Methodological Department A. Sargsyan.

On the first day of the meeting, the report developed by the YSU IB was presented, through which the strategy of sustainability, long-term impact and continuity of the program was addressed, and its importance from the point of view of the development of the educational system was emphasized.

During the discussions, the progress of the program work packages, the preliminary results of the needs analysis, as well as the possibilities of modernization of educational programs and integration of digital technologies were presented.

Within the framework of the program, the participants got acquainted with the best practices of the University of Maribor: examples of cooperation between education and industry, projects using artificial intelligence, modern approaches to developing educational programs.

Of particular importance were the interactive discussions in the “Knowledge Café” format, during which new ideas were formed for the modernization of educational programs and the application of innovative technologies.

The branch delegation also toured one of the best factories in the region, “LEDINEK”, where the connection of science with production was demonstrated, how scientific results are applied in industry, modern technologies in production.

The participation of YSU IB employees in the meeting and events held in Maribor within the framework of the DIGITECH program gave them the opportunity to expand international cooperation, study advanced experience and apply it to improve the educational process.

The DIGITECH “Introduction of innovative technologies in the digitalization of technological processes and production” program is implemented with the financial support of the European Union within the framework of the Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) direction of the Erasmus+ program.
