On April 2, 2026, a meeting with Catherine Lesemple, a member of the "Armenian-French Friendship and Exchange" Union, was held at the Ijevan branch of YSU. The meeting was attended by the Director of the YSU IB M. Otaryan, Advisor to the Director A. Makaryan, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities N. Grigoryan, representatives of the Chair of Foreign Languages: Head of the "French Language and Literature" Educational Program R. Mirzoyan, Lecturer A. Hovhannisyan, Zh. Ghaltakhchyan, Head of the Angela Vanesyan Francophonie Center Mary Gasparyan, and students.
The purpose of the meeting was to award scholarships to students of the YSU IB "French Language and Literature" Educational Program by the "Armenian-French Friendship and Exchange" Union.
The representative of the Union, Catherine Lesemple, presented the students' work to the participants of the meeting, considering it worthy of encouragement.
During the meeting, the Director of the YSU IB M. Otaryan made a speech, expressing satisfaction and gratitude to the “Armenian-French Friendship and Exchange” Union for its close cooperation with the branch.
Next, Catherine Lesemple awarded scholarships to 10 students studying in the paid education system of the “French Language and Literature” educational program: H. Janinyan, D. Melikyan, M. Khachinyan, A. Aghinyan, G. Yeganyan, H. Davtyan, L. Vardanyan, T. Ellaryan, A. Blbulyan, L. Madatyan, and 3 students studying in the free education system: M. Kartashyan, E. Mkrtumyan, L. Sargsyan, who have actively contributed to the development and dissemination of French in the schools of the Tavush region.
The students who received the scholarships also expressed their gratitude, assuring that they will continue to work with great enthusiasm and love.
