On April 7, 2026, an exhibition of works by lecturers and students of the Faculty of Applied Arts of the YSU Ijevan branch opened at Vernatun Gallery in Ijevan, dedicated to the Motherhood and Beauty Day.

The directorate of the YSU Ijevan branch, employees and students of the university, representatives of regional and city authorities, honored guests, artists, teachers, students and citizens participated in the grand opening of the exhibition.

The opening speech was delivered by the Director of the YSU Ijevan Branch M. Otaryan, Acting Head of the Department of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture, Associate Professor, Member of the Armenian National Union of Artists H. Asatryan. They noted that the exhibition is a great opportunity to celebrate the women’s day, to honor our mothers through the language of art, and emphasized the importance of such initiatives not only in the lives of university students, but also in the lives of citizens and art-loving society.

The exhibition featured works of various genres: paintings, landscapes, stained glass, ceramics, batik, carpets, tapestries, graphic works, etc.

The works, which were mainly carried out according to the principles of decorative and classical art, with remarkable solutions, gave visitors great aesthetic pleasure.

The exhibition dedicated to the holiday of motherhood and beauty will last for two weeks. Entry is free.
