On April 22-23, 2026, YSU Ijevan branch hosted Gabriela Turisova, an expert and coordinator of the program, within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 program.

During the visit, she got acquainted with the activities of the branch, educational programs and scientific projects. An official meeting was held with the Advisor to the Director of YSU IB A. Makaryan, and Program Coordinator, Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages S. Minasyan. During the meeting, the prospects for the continuation of the Erasmus+ KA171 program and issues related to the expansion of international cooperation between YSU Ijevan branch and the University of Presov were discussed. Mr. Makaryan emphasized in his speech that strengthening international ties is extremely important for YSU Ijevan branch. Erasmus+ opens up new opportunities for students and lecturers, allowing them to exchange knowledge and experience. Gabriela Turisova noted that she was impressed by the level of students' preparation and the scientific activities of the university. He expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation will contribute to the development of academic mobility and the strengthening of partnership relations. Particular attention was paid to the importance of academic exchanges between lecturers and students.

Within the framework of the visit, meetings were held with the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities N. Grigoryan, the Scientific Secretary of the YSU IB M. Atoyan, and the employees of the Department of Educational Reforms and Quality Assurance. The parties exchanged scientific materials, journals, and proceedings of the international student conference.

Erasmus+ Program Coordinator G. Turisova also met with lecturers, students, and employees of the departments. She delivered a lecture on the topic “Linguistic and Cultural Approaches to the Study of Russian as a Foreign Language,” which was attended by first- to third-year students of the “Russian Language and Literature” educational program and lecturers of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​S. Minasyan, M. Zurabyan, A. Aydinyan, and E. Shuvaeva.

At the end of the visit, the YSU Ijevan branch organized a visit-excursion for the foreign guest to the historical and cultural monuments and sights of Tavush region: Goshavank and Haghartsin monastery complexes, Dilijan, and Lake Parz.

Ms. Turisova left with the most positive impressions of Armenia and the YSU Ijevan branch, which will open new horizons for further cooperation.
