The YSU IB Student Council organized an event to welcome the new academic year and 192 first-year students admitted to the YSU IB on-site bachelor's degree.

On the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Education and the start of the new academic year, the Director of the YSU IB Mher Otaryan sent a congratulatory message to all university students, especially the first-year students, wishing everyone a successful start and course of study, fruitful and effective joint work (see the Director's message here: https://ijevan.ysu.am/news/7543).

The words of welcome and congratulations were delivered by the Acting President of the Student Council Narek Shahnazaryan and the President of the Student Scientific Society Lianush Blbulyan.

The oath of the first-year students was read by the branch's best applicant this year, Diana Artyomi Avagyan, a 1st -year student of the "English and Literature" educational program.

According to the established tradition, the key to knowledge was passed to the 1st -year student Diana Avagyan by the 4th-year student of the "Informatics and Applied Mathematics" educational program, Luiza Melikbekyan.

Diana Davtyan, a 3rd-year student of the "Finance (by field)" educational program, performed a beautiful musical performance.

After the festive event, the classes of the new 2026-2027 academic year started in the lecture rooms.
