Training sessions for teachers subject to mandatory certification have resumed at Ijevan Branch of YSU, with the participation of over eighty teachers. The process is being carried out based on orders issued by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport (ESCS) designating the YSU Ijevan Branch as an accredited training provider for teachers subject to certification, approving the list of courses, and validating the training modules submitted by the branch.

The YSU Ijevan Branch has already conducted training sessions covering 9 of the 11 sections across the first (foundational) and second (competence) levels for teachers undergoing periodic certification.

This phase of training covers the remaining two sections: "Taking Responsibility for Professional Development" and "Assessment of Learning." The "Taking Responsibility for Professional Development" course is conducted by Armine Dallakyan, Associate Professor at the YSU Ijevan Branch’s Department of Pedagogy and Psychology and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences.

The "Assessment of Learning" course is conducted by Naira Martirosyan, Associate Professor at the ASPU Department of Pedagogy and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences.

Training sessions at the branch are primarily held in an in-person format and are led by leading, highly qualified specialists from the YSU Ijevan Branch as well as from across the country and the region; the aim is to enhance teachers' skills in employing student-centered pedagogical approaches and effective, innovative teaching methods.
