On July 17th 2024, a speech on "The post-Soviet experience of street names on the example of Ijevan" was held at Ijevan branch of YSU, which was conducted by Vladimir Poghosyan, a lecturer of the Chair of Armenian History and Social Studies, head of the "Zartonk Ijevan" grant program.
Administrative members, professors and students of Ijevan branch of YSU attended the speech.
It should be noted that the grant program is implemented within the framework of the EU4Culture program "We and our mountains" funded by the European Union.
On July 16 2024, the Ijevan branch of YSU was in a festive mood. A graduation ceremony was organized to welcome the 281 graduates of the 2023-2024 academic year (168 of on-site education and 113 of off-site education) to a big life, which was attended by Yerevan State University Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, YSU Head of the Rector's Staff Davit Hovhannisyan, Rector's Advisor Vigen Khalatyan, Governor of Tavush Region Hayk Ghalumyan, representatives of various fields of the region, members of the administrative and teaching staff of the university, students, graduates, parents, media representatives, external stakeholders, guests.
On September 19, 2024 the international autumn school dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the founding of YSU Ijevan Branch was solemnly opened on the theme "Researching local heritage", which was organized within the framework of cooperation between the University of Salzburg (Austria), the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia and the Ijevan branch of YSU within the framework of “Interdisciplinary studies of Armenian cultural heritage" by the remote laboratory.
On September 24, 2024 on the anniversary of A.Mardanyan's birthday, events dedicated to the memory of Aida Serozhi Mardanyan, former head of the French language and literature section of the Department of Foreign Languages of YSU IB, former head of the educational program, long-time leading specialist of YSU IB, were held at the YSU Ijevan branch: a commemorative matinee, the opening of an auditorium named after her.
