On November 5, 2025, a meeting with Catherine Lesemple, a member of the "Armenian-French Friendship and Exchange" Union, was held at Ijevan branch of YSU. The meeting was attended by the Director of YSU IB M. Otaryan, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Humanities N. Grigoryan, Head of the "French Language and Literature" Educational Program R. Mirzoyan, French volunteer Cordelia Dex, the head of the Angela Vanesyan Francophonie Center Mary Gasparyan, and students.

The purpose of the meeting was to sign an agreement to continue cooperation with the "Armenian-French Friendship and Exchange" Union in the 2025-2026 academic year and to award scholarships to students of the YSU IB "French Language and Literature" educational program.

The representative of the “Armenian-French Friendship and Exchange” Union, Catherine Lesemple, presented the students’ work to the meeting participants, expressing her satisfaction with it.

During the meeting, the Director of the YSU IB, M. Otaryan, made a speech, thanking the “Armenian-French Friendship and Exchange” Union, represented by its President, Paulette Coutan, for the close cooperation with the branch.

Then, Catherine Lesemple awarded scholarships to 9 students studying in the paid education system of the “French Language and Literature” educational program: H. Janinyan, D. Melikyan, M. Khachinyan, G. Yeganyan, H. Davtyan, L. Vardanyan, T. Ellaryan, A. Blbulyan, L. Madatyan, and 4 students studying in the free education system: A. Ghaltakhchyan, M. Kartashyan, L. Sargsyan, E. Mkrtumyan, who have actively contributed to the development and dissemination of the French language in schools in the Tavush region. The students who received the scholarship also expressed their gratitude and promised to work with dedication.
