- A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the YSU Ijevan branch and the Institute of Oriental Studies of the NAS of the Republic of Armenia
The purpose of the memorandum is to establish partnership relations between the parties in the educational and research spheres, and the implementation of cooperation programs.
The signed memorandum envisages cooperation in a number of areas (implementation of joint research programs, publication of research results, organization and management of research internships, supervision and co-supervision of doctoral theses, provision of scientific and methodological literature, editing, implementation of joint grant programs).
Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties will organize and implement professional training, academic exchange, study of areas of mutual interest, conduct lectures on current regional security issues, master classes (including online), joint conferences, seminars, symposia, round tables, publish research, educational, methodological materials based on the results of joint work, etc.
Mher Otaryan, Director of the Ijevan Branch of YSU, referring to the importance of assuming cooperative obligations, noted that such cooperation is extremely important for the development and dissemination of science. He expressed confidence that this cooperation will be a good platform for lecturers and will bear fruit.
Gohar Iskandaryan, Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the RA NAS, noted that this step ensures progress within the framework of the policy of balanced development of science. "If the achievements of the Institute of Oriental Studies are limited only within the institute, they are worthless, but if they become available to other institutes and regional universities, we are taking a significant step towards the balanced development of science."
The parties, emphasizing the balanced development of science and the possibility of dissemination and accessibility of scientific results, assured that through such a platform, a common field of cooperation can be formed, achievements presented, and joint projects for the future can be implemented.
