The session discussed the summing up of the examination period for the 1st semester of the 2025-2026 academic year for off-site learning bachelor's and master's degrees, the issues of organizing courses in elective subjects (group formation), and issues related to student participation in the classroom process.
Regarding the issue of summing up the examination period for the 1st semester of the 2025-2026 academic year for off-site learning bachelor's and master's degrees, it was noted that 428 (383 bachelor's and 45 master's) students participated in the examination period. According to the results of the examination period, 4 students from the Faculty of Economics are subject to expulsion, 16 students have accumulated academic debts of up to 12 credits (10 from the Faculty of Economics, 6 from the Faculty of Humanities), 24 students will have to repeat the course (12 from the Faculty of Economics, 12 from the Faculty of Humanities).
Of the students who participated in the examination period, 2 students from the Faculty of Humanities are on deferment, 5 students have returned from deferment (3 from the Faculty of Economics, 2 from the Faculty of Humanities).
Regarding the next issue, the issues of organizing courses in elective subjects (group formation), it was noted that the heads of educational programs presented the lists and brief contents of elective subjects in the relevant courses on March 10-31, and their results were submitted to the Educational and Methodological Department. The course selection process has been completed, and the relevant groups have been formed.
In addition to elective courses, the selection process for related courses is also being carried out, which will be completed by April 20.
Then, the picture of student participation in the course process of the 2nd semester of the 2025-2026 academic year was presented by courses. Special attention was paid to those courses in which there are students who have exceeded the permissible limit of absences (or are on the verge of it), who have received a reprimand from the dean and director. The Director instructed the Educational and Methodological Department and the deans to be consistent in ensuring that students comply with the internal disciplinary rules of the YSU IB.
