As in the previous years, at the beginning of this academic year, on September 26, 2024 at Ijevan branch of YSU, a meeting was held with Arevik Prazyan and Hasmik Hovhannisyan, career development coordinators of the "Teach for Armenia" educational foundation. The students of the "Elementary Pedagogy and Methodology", "Informatics and Applied Mathematics" educational programs participated in the meeting.

On September 26, 2024 a branch volleyball championship was held in the gym of Ijevan branch of YSU in which collective teams of educational programs participated.

On September 26, 2024 the intensive course of Hrach Martirosyan (Leiden University), a recognized Armenian expert and one of the best Armenian specialists in comparative linguistics, started at the YSU Ijevan branch: "The Origins of the Armenian Language. "Issues of the history of the Armenian language and culture".

On September 25, 2024 a meeting was held at the Ijevan branch of YSU with Dominique Weiss, the associate in charge of educational and cultural cooperation of the French Embassy in Armenia, Lori Hovsepyan, the French language coordinator of the embassy, ​​and Celeste Aghselu, a French volunteer, in the meeting YSU IB Director A.Makaryan, deputy director M. Otaryan, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Humanities N. Grigoryan, head of the educational program "French language and literature" R. Mirzoyan and lecturer of the Chair of Foreign Languages ​​A. Hovhannisyan were also present.

On September 24, 2024 on the anniversary of A.Mardanyan's birthday, events dedicated to the memory of Aida Serozhi Mardanyan, former head of the French language and literature section of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​of YSU IB, former head of the educational program, long-time leading specialist of YSU IB, were held at the YSU Ijevan branch: a commemorative matinee, the opening of an auditorium named after her.

On September 19, 2024 the international autumn school dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the founding of YSU Ijevan Branch was solemnly opened on the theme "Researching local heritage", which was organized within the framework of cooperation between the University of Salzburg (Austria), the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia and the Ijevan branch of YSU within the framework of “Interdisciplinary studies of Armenian cultural heritage" by the remote laboratory.

On September 3, 2024 the Student Council organized a festive event to welcome the 182 first-year students admitted to YSU IB on-site learing and to signal the start of the new academic year, the event opened with the anthem of the Republic of Armenia and the anthem of Yerevan State University.

Dear university students, I warmly congratulate you on the Day of Knowledge and Education, on the occasion of the start of the new academic year 2024-2025, I wish you professional achievements and progress, to students great will and determination on the way to the accumulation of knowledge, and to professors endless energy and consistency in the teaching process.

Before the start of the new academic year, a meeting of the directorate was held at Ijevan branch of YSU, under A. Makaryan's presidency.

On July 22, 2024 a five-day training course in English was launched at Ijevan branch of YSU for YSU IB young lecturers, graduates of different years of the "English Language and Literature" educational program, bachelor's final year and master's students.
