SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION FOR STUDENTS ENROLLED IN A PAID SYSTEM OF STUDY

Armenian Educational Foundation (AEF) is pleased to announce scholarships competition for 2019-2020 academic years.

The scholarships awarded will cover the full tuition (maximum 600.000 AMD) for students in specific fields of study identified by AEF. Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence, be in financial need, and be in paid system of study.

Students enrolled in a paid system of study of RA Higher Education Institutions since 2019 September (be at least in their first-year of study) are eligible for the competition. Masters and PhDs are also accepted.

The competition is open to students who attend a state university in Armenia, Artsakh and Javakhk, have GPA of at least 16, 7, 5 or 77.

Syrian-Armenian students’ GPA: 14,6,70.

“ARPA” INSTITUTE INVENTION COMPETITION

“ARPA” Institute is pleased to announce Annual Invention Competition for RA young scholars and PhDs aged till 35.

The first prize winner will be awarded 2000 USD, second prize winner: 1000 USD, third prize winner: 600 USD and forth prize winner: 400 USD.

The organization is also ready to award 1500 USD for the best business project.

YSU IJEVAN BRANCH DELEGATION RETURNED FROM VALENCE, FRANCE

On April 8, 2019, YSU Ijevan Branch delegation returned from Valence, France to Ijevan.

Let us remind that at the invitation of “Armenian Cultural Heritage and Friends” Association, YSUIB several students (4th year students of “French Language and Literature” specialty Emma Shahnazaryan, Luara Gevorgyan, Lusya Ghalachakhyan, 3rd year student of “French language and Literature” Hranush Davtyan and ” Service “3rd year student Mariam Meliksetyan) under the supervision of Aida Mardanyan, Acting Head of the Department of French Language and Literature, passed training and qualification courses at “Maestris” University of Valence, improving their knowledge of French.

The trainings were organized at the highest level, the students were actively involved in the learning process, they developed their professional knowledge and skills and at the end of the course, received certificates.

The program of the visit consisted of educational and cultural parts. Within the framework of the visit, students accompanied by Gohar Danset-Hamzyan and Silvy Bochian-Basmachyan visited Marseille and admired the sights of that ancient city.

On March 29-31, they visited Paris, particularly Louvre, Montmartre, Champs-Elysées Avenue, Concord Square, Luxemburg Park, admiring the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral.

The group returned to Armenia with unforgettable impressions, with a great sense of gratitude to host families and all supporters.

The next visit will take place in March 2020.

INVITATION TO TAKE A PART IN “YOUTH EMPOWERED” 3-YEAR PROGRAM

“Coca-Cola Hellenic Armenia”, together with “Management Mix” consulting and training company, is implementing 3-year “Youth Empowered” program to develop “LIFE” and “BUSINESS’” skills of young people aged 18-30.

The program aims at focusing on vulnerable groups that need professional and life skills development (especially in the regions); to accomplish university graduates’ and potential young entrepreneurs’ business skills; to direct young people to choose the right career path, applying their professional potential.

Within the framework of the program, trainings will be organized both for Yerevan and regional youth, including bordering areas. In addition to self-assessment and self-development skills, the participants will have the opportunity to develop skills on time and project management, negotiation, communication, business planning and sales skills.

In 2018-2020, 8000 young people will be supported in the frames of “Youth Empowered”. In 2018, 1000 young people living in Yerevan and 1500 living in regions will be included in the program.

The details of the program are presented in the following.

LIFE SKILLS (8 hours)

  1. Orientation and development of an individual’s educational path based not only on their interests, but also on economic factors
  2. Writing a Curriculum Vitae (CV) including a description of experience and qualifications
  3. Establishing and developing business ties, improving career path
  4. Physical Appearance and Behavior Skills
    • Best interview and job experience
    • The best experience of attending business events
    • Personal hygiene and care
  1. Communication

                    – Professional communication trainings;

                  – Preparation for meetings and events by studying the participants, subject matter and organizations,

                    – Online business management,

      * Practical and personal pages

       * Proper content management, to avoid from the negative impact

       * Relevant content selection

BUSINESS SKILLS (16 hours / 2 days)

  1. Meeting with the Director
  2. “When are you not a customer”, How to work in different markets, cultures, traditions and customs.
  3. “When are you a customer”, How to work in different markets, cultures, traditions and customs.
  4. Applying skills acquired from 2nd and 3rd topics to achieve goals.
  5. Orientation, negotiation and sales skills.
  6. Financial literacy.
