The course "Artificial Intelligence Literacy and Responsible Use for Teachers" started at YSU IB

On October 24, 2025, the first meeting of the course “Artificial Intelligence Literacy and Responsible Use for Teachers” was held within the framework of the cooperation between the US Embassy in Armenia and Ijevan branch of YSU.

Lecture on "Introduction to the electronic databases of the National Library of Armenia and improvement of skills in using scientific literature"

On October 23, 2025, a lecture on the topic “Introduction to the electronic databases of the National Library of Armenia and improvement of skills in using scientific literature” was held at Ijevan branch of YSU, in which representatives of the teaching staff of YSU IB participated. It was conducted by the head of the library V. Poghosyan.

The Psychological and Educational Counseling Center was officially opened at the YSU Ijevan branch

On October 22, 2025, the official opening ceremony of the Psychological and Educational Counseling Center was held at Ijevan branch of YSU, which was attended by YSU IB Director Mher Otaryan, YSU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Elina Asriyan, YSU Vice-Rector for Development and Innovations Mikael Hovhannisyan, Tavush Deputy Governor Narek Ghushchyan, members of the university teaching staff, students, and representatives of organizations operating in the psychological and social fields.

Training course and research implementation in Tavush region

On October 18, 2025, the employees of the Center for Research on the Problems of Teaching History in Armenia and the Diaspora operating at the Kh. Abovyan ASPU visited the Ijevan branch of YSU; Head of the Department of World History and its teaching of the Kh. Abovyan ASPU, Doctor of Sciences, Professor Khachatur Stepanyan, Associate Professors of the same department Mikael Martirosyan and Arman Martirosyan, headed by the Head of the Center, Doctor of Sciences, Associate Professor Harutyun Papoyan.

On October 18, 2025, representatives of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) and Rossotrudnichestvo in Armenia visited the Ijevan branch of YSU, led by Anton Beryanev, head of the Gyumri branch of the Russian Center for Science and Culture.

On October 11, 2025, 3rd-year students of the YSU IB "Informatics and Applied Mathematics" educational program participated in the "Digitec Expo 2025" technology exhibition in Yerevan as visitors. It brought together leading companies, startups, and educational institutions in the fields of information technology, engineering, and innovation.

The master's degree entrance exams for the 2025-2026 academic year were held at YSU IB

On October 10-11, 2025, the distance learning admission interviews and exams for the 2025-2026 academic year were held at the Ijevan branch of YSU, in the "General Pedagogy" specialty "School Pedagogy and Methodology" and "Business Administration (Management)" educational programs.

The project submitted by YSU IB and Ijevan Municipality within the framework of the "Sustainable Energy Development of Ijevan Community" program has been approved

In March 2025, Ijevan Branch of YSU and Ijevan Municipality, as co-applicants, applied to the “Renewable Energy (RE) and Energy Efficiency (EE)” program of the Local Development Fund (LDF) implemented by the GIZ Armenia office, presenting the project “Sustainable Energy Development of Ijevan Community”.
